Sometimes People Don't Deliver

I'm working with a client who needs to have tablet PCs. The vendor we were dealing with promised us delivery by this past Monday or Tuesday. I checked back in with the salesperson today. It turns out the tablets are not shipping until Friday - the client will be receiving them NEXT Monday or Tuesday. I'm still waiting to hear what caused the delay. My simple wish is for people to do what they say. I would much rather hear - up front - what to expect. Disappointment only occurs when expectations are not met. I'm sure the client will be none-too-pleased to learn of this tomorrow.
